We’re Carly and Glenn Parker, parents to Ethan and lifelong members of Australia’s hunting and shooting community. Our journey began with a rifle: the Lithgow LA105 Woomera Signature Series. After weeks of saving, holding that rifle felt like a milestone—hard-earned and meaningful.
But soon, we hit a snag. We bought the wrong projectiles for reloading. Like any practical shooter, we tried to sell them. That’s when we discovered how hard it was to find a safe, professional, and Australian platform for buying and selling firearms and equipment. Facebook and Gumtree weren’t options. Other sites felt outdated or lacked the right audience. Our industry deserved better.
Gun Traders Australia grew from conversations around the firepit, early morning coffees, and late-night research. We talked with dealers, learned the laws state by state, and built a platform that’s simple, compliant, and community-driven—because we live this life ourselves.
Building Gun Traders wasn’t easy. There were tears, doubts, and five major rebuilds. Each setback taught us something new. Persistence mattered more than speed. We kept going because Ethan was watching, and because we knew other shooters needed this platform—even if they didn’t know it yet.
